National People’s Power (NPP) Kandy Municipal Council Member Udeni Liyanarachchi stated that private agencies operating in Kandy are unfairly exploiting the families of patients at the Kandy National Hospital by providing untrained caregivers. She noted that these agencies charge Rs.4,500 for 24 hours to station a person near a patient.
