Seoul shares up late Fri. morning on hopes for Hormuz Strait reopening

SEOUL, April 3 (Yonhap) -- South Korean stocks rose nearly 2.5 percent late Friday morning as Iran is said to be working on a protocol with Oman to monitor traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, raising hopes for the reopening of the crucial shipping waterway.
