Devotees from the Wattala – Wellapalliya parish participated in a barefoot procession carrying a cross, commemorating Jesus Christ’s suffering, braving the heat. The procession began at the Dikowita St.Anthony’s Church and ended at the Palliyawatta St.Carmel’s Church covering over three kilometres.Don Bosco Salesian priests, including Provincial Superior Very Rev. Fr.Roshan Miranda led meditations during the procession.
