Seven officers of the Kotmale Police have been hospitalised after they were attacked by wasps while on a raid to nab those operating an illegal liquor distillery at a reserve in the Ramboda area of Wedamulla, Kotmale. Kotmale OIC Indika Lalith said that the OIC of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kotmale Police and six other officers, who went on the raid were attacked by wasps, sustaining serious injuries.
