Sri Lanka Navy conducted a series of operations across the country’s waters from March 3 to 18, in an attempt to safeguard the country’s marine resources and ensure sustainable fishing practices. These efforts resulted in the arrest of 53 individuals engaged in various illegal fishing activities. During the raids, Naval personnel also seized 13 dinghies and four tractors used for these unlawful purposes.
