Former External Affairs Minister Prof. G. L. Peiris yesterday stressed the importance of having a joint programme to address critical political issues in the country while maintaining identities of political parties. “As the Joint Opposition, we firmly believe that in order to face these threats and challenges, we must come together and formulate a joint action plan,” he said.
