Sri Lanka Navy thwarted smuggling attempts, taking into custody seven suspects and three dinghies carrying 1,146 kgs of dried sea cucumber during separate operations conducted in the Mohoththuwaram and Keerimundalama sea areas, Kalpitiya on March 5 and 6.
