Suranjith Wevita, a member of the Special Presidential Task Force for the Development of the Tourism Industry, said that under the current Tourism Act, there is no possibility of punishing individuals who come to this country on tourist visas and engage in tourist guiding activities, except for deporting them, and that taking all these factors into consideration, steps are being taken to include a number of new amendments.
