Dian Gomes, one of the most influential figures in Sri Lankan sport over the past two decades, has been honoured with the prestigious SILK award for the Most Outstanding Personal Contribution to promote sports in Sri Lanka, recognising a lifetime of leadership that transformed boxing, introduced fencing and created opportunities for hundreds of athletes across the country.
