Veteran Sri Lankan sports journalist Allaam Ousman, one of the finest and most respected sports writers produced by the country over the last three decades, passed away yesterday at the age of 60. His funeral took place yesterday at the Mattegoda Muslim Burial Grounds at 4.30 p.m., bringing to a close a distinguished career that left a deep mark on Sri Lanka’s sporting media.
