Chief Government Whip and Health and Media Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa has stated that MPs, Government or Opposition, who have complained of death threats against them will be provided with security as per the reports of the State Intelligence services. Opposition MP Jagath Vithana recently issued such a formal announcement, where the Speaker intervened and provided him with security.
