The People’s Pinnacle Awards, organised by MUGP International to recognise the best professionals, was held last Sunday at the Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo. The award for the Best News Reporting in the country was received by Silumina Deputy Editor Tharaka Wickramasekera. The Thinakaran newspaper also won the award for the Best Tamil Newspaper in the country, which was received by Thinakaran Manager Yasir Mumtaz on behalf of the Thinakaran Editor.
