A fire broke out yesterday morning at a shoe shop in Kiribathgoda town. Later, the fire subsequently spread to the adjacent leading textile shop and several other shops. It has been reported the fire has started due to a sudden electrical fault in the shoe shop. About five fire engines from the Colombo Municipal Council and the Gampaha Municipal Council arrived to doused the fire later.
