A technical officer, a works inspector, and a driver of the Provincial Road Development Authority have been arrested by the police in connection with an incident where nearly two tons of iron from an old bridge was allegedly sold to a businessman in the Kandy area, when a new bridge was being constructed, after removing an iron bridge near the Pera Bend on the Hanguranketha-Hapuwela road.
