The government secured approval for a Rs.500 billion supplementary estimate to restore the livelihoods of those affected by the sudden disasters after Cyclone Ditwah made landfall on November 28. The damage to livelihoods and infrastructure facilities such as railways, highways, transmission lines and buildings was immense.
