Members of the Sri Lankan community in the Washington DC metropolitan area made a generous donation of US$ 10,000 (LKR 3,095,000) on December 18 to the ‘Rebuilding Sri Lanka’ fund established by the Central Bank in support of the ongoing flood relief efforts.
