A Sri Lankan air passenger who had illegally brought a consignment of foreign-made cigarettes worth Rs. 2.85 million into the country and attempted to take them out of the Katunayake Airport via the ‘Green Channel’ where there is no declaration required was arrested by a team of airport customs officers in the early hours of Tuesday (16).
