Police Media Division stated yesterday (18) that IGP Priyantha Weerasooriya has directed the Police Special Investigation Division to initiate a preliminary investigation against the senior police officers who have allegedly neglected their duties in their investigation into the accident involving the collision of NPP Parliamentarian Ashoka Ranwala’s jeep with a car and a motorcycle, in Sapugaskanda on December 11.
