ONE out of four Filipino children is malnourished and stunted. This is the recent data presented by the Department of Education before all the mayors of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines in their recent event at the Marriot Hotel in Newport. Malnutrition at the stage of a child’s brain development has irreversible damaging effects on the child’s ability to learn and acquire skills needed.
