Europe, the “Olde Continent”, is experiencing a monumental crisis, at least parts of which are its own making. The crisis stems from two major factors – one is the changing US attitude towards Europe (as exemplified in the Donald Trump administration’s latest National Security Strategy or NSS) and the other is Ukraine, whose adversary Russia is the elephant in the room that keeps European leaders awake at night.
