The Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) has granted promotions to 2,086 personnel, including 17 officers, to mark its 75th anniversary. The SLN also held an International Fleet Review (IFR) in Colombo to mark this occasion with Navy ships from many friendly countries. The promotions were granted on the recommendations of the Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda, in recognition of the dedication and service of those personnel, media reports said.
