Sri Lanka’s young Muay Thai champion and international Youth Ambassador, Bassam Murthasa represented the nation at the UTS World Youth Festival 2025, held recently in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia under the theme of ‘Rising Together’. The festival was organised by United Through Sports (UTS) under the patronage of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Paralympics, Special Olympics, and AIMS, bringing together youth leaders and athletes from around the world in a spirit of unity, inclusivity, and empowerment.
