The eighth flight from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) carrying relief aid arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) yesterday (09) afternoon. The aircraft, a C-17, one of the largest cargo aircraft owned by the UAE Air Force, arrived at the (BIA) from Abu Dhabi yesterday. The plane carried 1,080 food packages, enough for a family of eight for 14 days, weighing a total of 27 metric tons.
