Naguleshwaram is one of the well-known ancient five Shiva temples that existed before the Vijayan period in Hindu history. It is located on the Northern coast of the Jaffna Peninsula, approximately three kilometres west of Kankesanturai. The old temple no longer exists; only a rocky cave remains at the location, which is about one kilometre east of Keerimalai.
