Essential Services Commissioner General Prabhath Chandrakeerthi said that legal action will be taken against any business or individual who takes advantage of the disaster situation to increase prices and unnecessarily stockpile and hide consumer goods. He stated that such actions are illegal under laws and regulations related to essential services and consumer protection.
