Residents of Kandy are facing severe difficulties after three main pumping stations supplying drinking water to the city were completely submerged due to heavy rainfall. The inundation has damaged machinery at the pumping stations located at Getambe, Katugastota Gohagoda, and near the Peradeniya Engineering Faculty.
