India has granted rapid airspace clearance for Pakistan’s humanitarian aid flight carrying relief material to cyclone-affected Sri Lanka, Indian officials confirmed on Monday. According to officials, Pakistan submitted the overflight request at around 1300 hrs (IST) seeking same-day permission. In view of the humanitarian nature of the mission, India processed the request promptly and granted approval within four hours.
