The Sri Lanka Navy continues extensive rescue and relief operations in the areas affected by the flooding triggered by the breach of a section of the Mavil Aru tank embankment in Trincomalee on November 30, following heavy rainfall. As of yesterday (01), Naval teams have safely evacuated 309 affected residents from the Muttur area and relocated them to the Galkanda Viharaya, Muttur, for shelter.
