The Sri Lankan Navy has successfully rescued 49 individuals who were stranded on a bus swept by floodwaters at the Kala Oya Bridge along the Anuradhapura–Puttalam road. The operation, which began last night, is still ongoing to assist a few remaining individuals affected.
