The Sri Lanka Navy deployed relief teams to evacuate residents affected by severe flooding in Mahawa, Kurunegala and Eluwankulam, Puttalam on Friday (November 28). The operations were launched in response to the Galtan Tank of Mahawa overflowing as well as flood situation in Eluwankulam, inundating local communities. Naval personnel worked with local support, to evacuate affected individuals to safer locations.
