On Feb. 28, I had the privilege of attending this year’s lecture for The Br. Andrew Gonzalez FSC Distinguished Professorial Chair in Linguistics and Language Education. The professorial chair is awarded annually to scholars whose work has made significant contributions to language and education in the Philippines. This year, it was Anicia del Corro of the Philippine Bible Society, who delivered a lecture on the story behind the Pinoy version of the Bible.
