World Health Organisation (WHO) Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said in a press briefing on July 27, 2020, that the total number of Covid-19 cases doubled in the past six weeks. He noted that there were fewer than 100 cases nearly six months earlier when the WHO declared Covid-19 a public health emergency.
