Beijing’s Tiananmen Square was closed to pedestrians ahead of the state funeral of former president Jiang Zemin. Security was tight but traffic continued to move on Wangfujing Avenue and other roads near the Great Hall of the People where the ceremony was set to begin at 10am on December 6, 2022.
