At least 19 children killed after suspicious fire razes dormitory in Guyana | South China Morning Post

An overnight fire in a secondary school dormitory housing over 60 students in Guyana left at least 19 children dead on May 22, 2023. More than 23 injured were sent to a local hospital while several others were airlifted to the capital, Georgetown. Initial investigations point to possible arson.
